He was a great bloke @maverick I’ll miss him, I was totally shocked when I heard this late last night, still shocked to be honest.

My deepest condolences to his family.

RIP mate, you were taken too soon.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I only knew Paul from the Settle get-togethers (his curry recipe is a huge hit here) but he was such a nice guy …

To which he replied, in good heart,

Very saddened by the news of Paul’s passing. He and I conversed regularly about all sorts. @68rednose, @maverick and I shared a room at the last Scalford just before I got ill. When I was very incapacitated Paul drove from his place to Liverpool to take me to a bake-off at @Ijrussell’s joint and then did the journey in reverse to drop me off again, all the while taking very good care of me as I was very unwell at the time. I hadn’t spoken with him for a while so I wasn’t aware of any illness. I hope his passing was peaceful.

Ah, poo. That’s a damn shame. Hate losing one of our own, hits close to home :frowning:

Bugger, that’s a shock. Was at Robins last week and he was saying how involved Paul was in helping arrange the next Wam show.

Very shocked to read this.
It was my first Scalford where I brought some kit along and shared the room with @maverick and @htm_1968. They both brought a TT along and allowed me as newbie to play records.
This was the greatest fun I ever had where music is involved. Whatever exceptional concert or gear came since, nothing will ever top my Scalford experience.
RIP Paul.

Oh dear, how said.

Cunt threw a phone at me many years ago.

This will be a big loss to the BSB paddock.

I read many years ago that his handlers referred to him as “Uncle Fuggy” because of his habit of telling everyone around him to “fuggin’ do this”, “fuggin’ do that”
