A legend

Spoke with him very briefly on the fells once. Waved at me a couple of times as he ran past me whilst I was struggling up hills. An unassuming gentlemen so far as I could tell. A race well run. RIP.

Met him at Wasdale Head in the pub years ago. Lovely bloke.

A nod to my friend Bobby who died on Tuesday from motor neurone disease.
He had just turned 60. We had been friends since the age of 5 and at 12 we both encouraged each other to join the secondary school rugby team. From then we played together for our full careers, both being selected for Lanarkshire and Glasgow.

Great and fond memories my friend.

Alan.

My Dad passed away this evening aged 89.

Lucky to have spent the day with him;, he was with it mentally despite his body failing and me and my sisters were there with him at the end.

A wonderful man who will be badly missed but a life well lived.

Sorry to read this Ben, at least it sounds as loving and dignified an end as any of us might hope for.
