I was going to PM you to ask what you’d had done at CG, but apparently you’re some sort of VIP with a private profile .
it’s been OK, only the roof has been problematic, but they persisted and its been perfect on this trip.
LOL.
Undesirable more like!
Coffin arms, front discs, steering link, full Geo.
2 grand in total on a 2 month old (to me) car.
So I took the dealer to Small Claims Court & recently got a big piece of that back. Bastard!
Full Geo is £300.
Sounds a lot but thats 1/2 days work & they get the set up spot on.
Chris the owner did me a 2 page Witness Statement which got me thro the Small Claims faff.
Car 997.2 Cab handles really nicely now.
My manager took his porker last week, he was very impressed with them, it drives ALOT better now.
He also has a list of things to do…
When I last checked there was a 6 month waiting list. I will take mine one day.
This is both exciting and disappointing as I read more about it. 1073bhp is very exciting indeed. Only being able to go for 30mins at race pace is a lot less so.
Fans of vintage Pork might be interested to know that that are no less than five 1974 911 2.7 MFIs (same as the '73 2.7RS but with impact bumpers) for sale on Pistonheads at the moment and all of them are in tremendous ‘fuck you it’s the 1970’s’ colours too;
And most magnificent of the lot;
All except the second green one are right hookers too.
Braun for me please, Bob.
Not seriously, I would almost certainly kill myself and anyone within a two mile radius were I to attempt to drive it.
Where you live you would never get about 15mph and run out of fuel inside an hour.
The poo brown one is ultra cool, I’d have that in a heart beat.
Two hundred grand to you Sir. Although, I will insist on coming along if you’re going to walk in and say “I want to buy your poo brown 911 please.”
He wouldn’t get past the first speed bump.
Either Targa, pref the blue, but I am not too proud to go pink…
If Instagram is to be believed (and it usually isn’t), this is one of a series of ads that Porsche USA commissioned in the early nineties. Some were used, this one was not.

Well, finally driven a 911, strictly speaking I think a 993 Turbo:-
This was at a driving experience at Elvington and…sorry guys, have to say a bit underwhelmed.
It felt soft, with a lethargic reaction to the throttle.
In all fairness the instructor in the passenger seat was getting us to change up at 4 thou.
I strongly suspect that it simply doesn’t come alive until the upper reaches of the rev range.
I also suspect that for an average driver, and I am a very average driver, it would become too sharp at that point.
Still glad I chose it though as it is an iconic car, which needed to be ticked off the bucket list.
Looks like a 997.
