So after a couple of months of pretty much having to take on all the therapists, clinical leads, GPs and consultant psychiatrists by herself, FoL has managed to straighten out the lack of processes, define the services properly for the first time, reduce the waiting times and generally get people to do their jobs.
I joked that she would be running the place in two years - the woman who does has just offered her a promotion to run one of the neighbourhood teams and act as her assistant GM.
Now if only she could use this as a chance to get a mortgage and find a place of her own!
FoL#1 Ellie is home from Uni for the weekend and she has brought her boyfriend…

When we did a bit of a tour of Wales we stayed a couple of nights in Beaumaris on Anglesey. Quite a lot of the guests in the hotel were dropping off kids at Bangor. They seemed to be of the opinion that there weren’t many nice places to stay in Bangor itself so this was where they came to.
It’s good IMO.
Just sayin’, if you’re e.g. going down there for a weekend.
Some friends of ours’daughter has been living & teaching in Japan the last 3 years or so. They tied the knot here back in the summer but the parents went out there for a couple of weeks recently to attend the ‘shrine’ service. They’ve had a fabulous time & were made very welcome despite the lad’s family being from a very traditional background.
She’s really got into the whole Kimono ritual. Wearing one is surprisingly involved & there are competitions which she’s taken part in. They think she’s mad, a European girl even trying but she’s done quite well in them.
Funnily enough I only learned about it this week through a Bald & Bankrupt Youtube film where he’s in Japan. (one of his less good efforts if truth be told)
