My mates daughter has the same thing, they realised something was wrong when she started turning blue within a day of being born (she’s a twin) She had an operation at 7 days old, another when she was about 3 or 4 and then another last year because she’s got a twisted artery which they think is from the one at 4 years old.
She’s now a very pretty and happy 13 year old girl who is forever bugging me to buy her booze.
Seeing the stress and worry they went through you both deserve a colossal pat on the back.
This is my OB speaker set up from the listening seat. I didn’t go horns for the top half above the 18" as I thought I would be too close at about 2.7M away.
Ritchie’s new set up is causing me to have a rethink though🙄.
I had my first horns - a two way in a 10’ x 12’ room + a sub. It sounded epic! But, but…
As Adam says, it’s the bass that is the issue. As soon as you have horns and hear horn bass in someone else’s system you are going to want it. If you have a dedicated room already and carte blanche, then go for it! You won’t be disappointed. Nothing compares with the speed, scale, dynamics and detail of a horn system. @Beobloke will be along in a minute to tell us that cat coffins are better but he is in denial!
It was/Is a heart breaking odyssey that changed our lives forever but not necessarily all negatively. I could write a book. For one thing, it changed the course of my career and part of what is happening now goes back to 2006 when for a year or so, the hospital visits and everything meant that I couldn’t travel, or work as I was. I handed over my entire customer base to others at the firm I worked for and have never recovered.
No he won’t. When I left the NVCF at lunchtime he was still mooching about with mates there, perhaps hoping for prices to drop ? He might pitch up this evening I suppose …
If I ever hear a horn system that has speed, scale and dynamics I’ll be sure to pass comment on the comparison. All I’ve heard them offer so far is distortion, quack and honk.
