Just as good …I sometimes throw them in the oven for 5_10 mins at 140 with a light spray of water

Fine. To be honest I mostly eat the bread I make as toast. The Sainsburys multigrain makes really good toast.

Are the older Kenwoods definitely better made?

Somebody on the local marketplace is selling this for £100

Claimed to be in ‘as new condition’

I read that bread from the freezer doesn’t stay fresh as long as non frozen but I have not noticed this in practice. Reheating as John mentioned is a good idea and works very well.

Might be worth trying gumtree and see if any are happy to post

As long as they package the bowl well it should be fine

I honestly think you would be better off with an older one £100 is a lot for that.

We’ve got a Kenwood with various blender, mincer and roller attachments. It does the job pretty damned well I have to say. You have to be a little careful to make sure you get attachments that fit as not all Kenwoods have the same connectors.

Alternatively, you should just get a RobotCoupe RM5:

Lol, yes.

£4k on a cartridge? No problem. £1k on a food mixer, get to fuck.

And here it is

Slightly disappointed that the top has cracked, but it smells fantastic and the sauce is lush.

Just to add - 5563 kcal for the whole pudding and sauce. Allegedly.

One of the stages in making flaky pastry dough. Incorporating blobs of butter & lard & folding it over, rolling & chilling it & then doing it again.

This is for a serious assault on pasty making tomorrow.

Beef skirt ready to go in with the potatoes, swede & onion.

Egg wash applied. (terrible crimping)

Properly flaky

Flaky pastry is the answer for pasties. The best ones down here all have it
