could be browner

Dug out the bread maker for the first time in ages. Obviously not up to the hand-made efforts of our resident breadmeisters but should be tasty hopefully.

Some French toast beckons I think.

I watched (supervised, encouraged) while Lauren made some focaccia today.

She also did most of the work on the goulash that it was used to wipe up.

For @J_B
50/50 pizza flour and spelt,
Smells delicious if it tastes as good this will be the new standard covid loaf

:ok_hand: I will be trying that very soon John.

So when we did the focaccia we used up the last of the yeast, and because we enjoyed making it, when I popped to Tesco to get my £3 meal deal lunch I went to get some yeast too. No fucking chance, all the flour, not just bread flour, gone. Ditto yeast. Loads of cake mix though, so perhaps that Austrian bitch Marie Antoinette had a valid point…

On my way home I have a co op and a Tesco metro, same story. But in the Tesco metro I dropped my phone and as I picked it it up I saw a pack of yeast right at the back of the bottom shelf. I was so pleased I bought a non-discounted bottle of wine.

Cool story bro.

Shame no one believes it. There’s no way you’d have got out of the shop.
