It’s fucking awful when it goes. Cannot recall which disc of mine went, but it’s agony when it’s bad. Naproxen + tramadol + diazepam is a glorious combination
Oh my gosh , thats a cocktail !!!
Hope it gets better soon , very unpleasant , i frequently pull muscle in back just doing simple stuff but fortunately resolves quickly
The problem with Naproxen is that it can give you the galloping Shiites, not ideal if you’re stuck to the mattress on your back immobile An experience I don’t wish to repeat.
I had a nasty experience last night. During my evening meal I got something caught in my airway. I’m not completely sure what happened but the resulting coughing fit and triggering of the gag reflex when on seemingly forever. I couldn’t breathe and started to panic a bit. I woke up this morning feeling distinctly under parr, really tired and kind of thick headed. A bit of a scary experience.
That happened to me at the Magic Bean curry house in Penrith a few years back when I was working in Cumbria - swallowing a soaked naan bread managed to move it but not before I’d half choked to death.
I was heard to protest as best I could that please don’t send me to the A&E in Carlisle as I was engaged in out and out conflict with the medical consultants there
Haha, oops!
It was horrible and I’ve not gone into work today, I feel distinctly ragged.
I bet you are, I had to go even though I was distinctly fooked, with bloodshot eyes etc. Word reached the consultants very quickly…
You have my sympathies. It’s a long time since anything like it happened to me but I was standing in the PO queue a few years back when a small child got a sweet stuck. Her dad tried increasingly desperately to dislodge it until eventually he picked her up by her ankles and shook her hard upside down, which worked, thank heavens. For half a minute perhaps (it seemed a lot longer) the rest of us were really scared.
VB
I don’t think it was anything as big as a sweet, it almost felt like a bit of food went down the airway and a bit of air went down the food way! Whatever, for a few minutes there I was all over the place. I was coughing and gagging so much no air was going in.
I had that once, Doc recommended two days on the sofa watching cricket
Hmmm, today I can get away with. Tomorrow I have deadlines. I did think of it though
When you phoned in work -I bet you did a little cough for effect?
I texted but I am actually quite croaky.
This is a very time time to highlight the Heimlich manoeuvre, a very very frightening experience
It was probably a lump of charcoal.
Had he been baking again?
Revenge of the Bakewell ?
Well, after joking the other day about having to throw a sicky to be able to watch the rugby…
Man flu has bitten me hard. I really struggled to get through work today and now I’m lying on the sofa all achy, sweaty, snotty and coughy.
FML.
Yeah, yeah, we believe you
