They are now
Thread Womble to the rescue
A tidy forum leaves a tidy mind…
I was surprised that quite a few Loake ranges are made in India (not the Bedales btw)
Bought a pair at the factory shop. Bloody comfortable and no breaking in needed. Lovely boots. Will resole mine in a year or two witbr the deeper lug commando sole used by OS, best country sole I’ve come across.
Nearly bought a pair of Loake Chesters yesterday. I’ve been after a pair anyway but the shop had them discounted from £240 to £180 so I was very tempted. They were for the leather soles though but I wanted the Dainite soles which the shop did not stock.
I was really impressed with the leather sole pair I tried on though. Really soft leather and very comfortable. Will definitely be buying a Dainite pair soon.
The loake factory shop has the Dainite soled version for £185 delivered, seems to be available in most sizes too:
Thanks for that. I wasn’t even aware of the factory outlet website. I’m going to hold out for a non-grain tan (I’m a fussy bastard) as I’ve already got a pair of Loake boots (Anglesey) in a leather grain.
Gott in Himmel
@htm_1968 in shoe form?
Are they hurricane proof?
They are green.
Yes. Like a cockroach.
Thread pinnacle.
Given how big you are, how come you have size 4 feet?
They are just far away.
They are clearly green. They match the colour I turned when I saw them though.
As the conniptions subside, a most unwelcome thought arose - if you are going to ‘do’ Crocs they probably should be luminous. I hope this is not a sign of another psychotic split - I’m certain I can’t manage another inner asshole taking up residence right now…
