Rubbish. The regret will last. And last.
Sometimes, for the sake of one’s sanity, one must lie to oneself…
Lie, and lie, and lie… . . .
The Snells are quite close to the wall, I used to have mine away from the wall.
You prefer it like that?
Nope, lots of boomy bass at the mo.
Had an estate agent taking photos for the landlord yesterday so just put them up against the wall for neatness.
TBH I’ll probably just leave them there until I move next month.
Yeah, no chance
Really like Snells but it’s shocking how good the Tone Scouts are, just filled the whole room with sound and lightning fast bass. They are just crystal clear and effortless.
I’m hoping he keeps them for a year and then decides to sell them back to me
You’ll be ok as Lurch will look to sell the fridges in a few months (or weeks)
Will he now.
These little beasties are going nowhere.
Hush you, your opinion doesn’t count
I was trying to cheer him up, if you take away a man’s hope what’s he left with?
Marriage
When you sold the Scouts I had half thought it was @Lurch that had bought them
2 ways
It was a guy on maverick, he’s got Klipsch Cornwall at the moment so the scouts are only a smidge bigger and will hopefully be an improvement.
Nice bloke and I think he’s planning on taking them to the Mav show, they’ve gone to a good home

Very bluddy nice!
Sonically?
Yeah this room shape is much more hifi friendly, being rectangular rather than square. With both speakers and sofa well away from any rear wall, the bass is much more balanced and not full of constant nulls. Whole system sounds much beefier in this room!
Double-result I’d say
Yeah after the stress of trying to find a decent home to move to after the split, this one has worked out pretty well!
It also goes to show the insane game of diminishing returns we play here. Last night I was listening to a friends system, which is apex Rossini, boulder amps and Wilson speakers, and I don’t listen to mine and feel much worse off. In some ways I actually prefer mine!
Setting aside the pain that engendered it, that’s a good way to feel - and music certainly helps ease the aches of life’s traumas.
Got these bits a couple of weeks ago. Sadly for some reason it only came with the back part of the rack,so made an mdf bottom part after work today out of mdf. Just need to get some similar grey paint for the edges.
Unfortunately the tuner keeps blowing the glass fuses after around 1 minute of putting a new one in.
Lovely
