SOYS: State Of Your System

Always surprised how small quad stuff is in person. You expect the 405 to be a unit and then see it

What a lovely room to listen to music in :ok_hand:

The Audio Note M7 has been used continuously for the last couple of months. Not felt the need to switch back to the Preda, so it is now boxed in storage.

Don’t know about that, but it’s defo a very sweet sounding bit of kit :+1:

The M7 winning was as big a certainty as Liverpool fucking up the quadruple.

M7 hum sorted? Playing ok with subs?

No, not exactly. If the Eversolo is connected to the mains, there is mains hum whether streaming, playing vinyl or cd.
If the Eversolo is disconnected from the mains, then both cd and vinyl replay are quiet.
An earth loop somewhere which I’ve not been able to cure…yet.

Unplugging the Eversolo is the cure!

Yes, The sub is now working very nicely :ok_hand:

Hopefully get a listen to that on the way back from Lopwell :ok_hand:

How are you getting on with no remote?

Yep, no problems at all. Although as I get even older and fatter, the Preda might need to be resurrected :joy::joy:

Have you tried a different mains cable?

Yes, several. Tried plugging it into a different ring main too, to no avail.

The loop appears to be between the Eversolo and Diavolo because the hum only comes out of the mid horn, not the big bass cabs which are powered by a separate amp.

Can’t you just tip cat litter into the crossover boxes and be done with it?

You’d have to be fucking bonkers to put two mahoosive plywood boxes in your listening room…
