The Neat Elite SE worked really well with the supernait I had.
Never heard any Kudos speakers though.

plural?
Random Moonwatch I couldn’t resist and a Zenith.
Ah yes forgot the Zenith, as it was for your Dad it didn’t count
Tell that to my bank account.
So after the eventual fuckulation of my IPL woofers, dealing (failing to deal) with French hi fi shops to replace the Audax drivers and general lack of arsedness when faced with the hassle of packing and posting them off to someone for repair I decided to try a subwoofer. After nearly buying some old shite on eBay I decided to embrace modernity and went for a new SVS SB1000 pro. £550 so about the cost of replacement drivers. I’ll probably look into getting some refoaming kit for the Audax’s in the future and truly fucking them up but currently I’m quite liking the sound of the sub.
Crossover is handled by the AV32R I use as a pre and high frequencies are currently some old B&W DM22’s from my dad’s old system which sound rather nice.
I may swap back to my good old mission 700’s as they ‘image’ better and that was quite a change from the IPLs which I quite liked. I was also thinking about just using the ipls top end speaker terminals too so plenty of choice.
Obligatory pic to demonstrate the current madness that is my ‘office system’
Got another couple of records shelves which has enabled me to finally get my 12" singles away and tidy up the rest of the music room.
I’ve moved the Direkts back about 50cm which has made the room feel much bigger and opened the sound up a bit.
I’ll also be moving the decks and phono stage onto the unit on the right where the CD is leaving just the amp on the record shelves.
It’s only taken me a year
Nice looking room
Cheers Mike - it’s a nice space to get jaked and listen to music
I need to sort that rug out tho’.
Sort of can’t disagree with you there Al
Thanks mate
Isn’t that what mates are for tho’ ?
I was only thinking about getting it centered and straightened
Ah, well, I guess you can thank me later.
As a matter of interest Allan how far from the rear wall are your speakers now? I’m still experimenting, currently have them about 40cm from the rear wall and toed in slightly, but finding them a bit "DJ Jazzy & Fresh Prince"…
Al
p.s. Lovely room.,
Looks a great space to relax and listening to music
They’re now about 25cm and only have a slightly toe in.
I also have them on a block at the back which makes them slightly more upright rather than the angled foot they come with - it works better for me in my room as I still sit quite near them.
Thanks Wayne.
I know I’m very lucky to be able to have a dedicated music room feels quite decadent.
It’s nice to finally get it just the way I want it - bar a few more pictures to put up and a new rug @MJ2 that will be it
oops
Looks good Al enjoy!
