SOYS: State Of Your System

Just looks like the back garden of every tenement flat in Edinburgh

Ah yes, there is that. A very stereotypical tenement.

Nah, get the WT, then the forum’s Christmas entertainment would be sorted.

:face_with_raised_eyebrow: Very hurtful :smiling_face_with_tear:

I’ve heard a WT and thought it sounded great. I’ve only ever seem them described positively. I fancy one.

Setting up the turntable, PT Anni with Alphason HR100s and AN-IQ3

For some reason the phono stage kept overloading and clipping the analogue input of the Devialet. They don’t do analogue as such, it’s an ADC but even with it set to the max of 4Vrms input the (calculated) phono stage output of 1.7V is still clipping :man_shrugging:

Changed the input from line to phono, took out the phono stage and it works fine now.

@Ruprecht you may like the phono options as it has lots of funky compensation curves

I’ve been quite amazed by alternate curves and what can be achieved not just with 78s but also early monos (they didn’t all standardise to RIAA when they said they did)

Suffering a want for new speakers so enjoying @catcando’s for a bit.

Is the mid/bass from audio technology?

Yeah, design is Jeff Bagby’s Spirit Wind.

Yeah no room for that kind of thing. Or I’d have went for the JBL K2s on there.

Not sure what I want. Mostly tempted by Kudos.

Cinema speakers to tide you over until the IMAX are done :grinning:
