Room with the Scansonics, that measure 180/280/1140, quite tall but at least the drivers would be sited above the sofa arm.
Heh heh, you chose Barry White
I nearly had that kind of scheme done to my study (not by my choice). As a compromised I allowed the blinds and the antique style radiator in (and sacrificed my curtains ), the rest could get to fuck. I like the shab in my room.
more ‘real’, less pinterest, you did well
Become self employed and stick the system in your office - Not joking, I had to do this.
That might work and it might not. The only way to find out is by trying. It’s the voice of experience speaking. My room has a sofa where yours is (OK, mirror image, but that’s immaterial) and it introduces an asymmetry between the speaker which is partially obstructed and the one which isn’t, possibly via the floor reflection. In my case it’s worse because the door is also in the same corner (I can’t move it). I live with it because I’m not very critical about my listening. And because I also like living with my wife. I know if I got rid of the sofa the sound would be better. But somehow I find it’s enough to know that - I don’t actually have to do it.

Are they Ikea vinyl units?
For the LPs? I have two 4x4 Ikea Kallax units on either side of the desk. Each is topped with a 4x1 unit. There are also 2x2 and 2x1 Ikea Eket units under the Keith Monks.
The rest of the furniture is proper stuff.
Massive fucking horns
Got the Spendor’s out from beside the fireplace and into the bay. They do work better there, no need to stuff the ports, bass is much more under control and quicker.
Bonus is I can reach the volume pot from my listening position. Some cabling issues to resolve.
(@crimsondonkey @Myrman, 1999 is my old copy, unfortunately not the new one yet).
Think i’ll go with speakers located here, still looking for the ideal replacements. Scansonic MB 3.5 are 20cm taller, so they are off the list. Quad 57’s?!
Totems?
No nothing about them, but they are small
Always like the look of Shahinians, but never heard any, will have a look at totems too
Heard them at shows a couple of times with rega years ago
I had some Arcs, didn’t really do much here in my small flat. Sold them to a fella with 16th century pub. Big room above the bar they were a different speaker with space to breath.
Mate had the old 2 way (forget the name) that sit angled on the floor (Ikea stands). They’ll take up as much room as the Spendors.
Loving the Trip Hazard of Death
faceplant into tv
DMSR is a great track to help tune the position of your speakers
and Lady Cab Driver. Actually sounded better than ‘Off The Wall’, which might just be down to my vinyl.
Musical Technology Kestrels are small floorstanders. Good little things and cheap
