Makes sense.
Mitch McConnell has not been seen for a while, following being admitted to hospital. There are unsubstantiated rumours of him being braindead, just as there are similar rumours from MAGA faithful that they have had 20 minute conversations with him.
If he has passed on, does this mean he has rigor tortoise?
How would they know the difference?
It’s sparked all sorts of fun little conspiracy theories that they’re holding off on notifying anyone until after a certain date to avoid the risk of Thomas Massie taking his seat in a special election. Would seem a fitting ending to McConnell, the piece of shit.
I’m literally waiting for his head in a jar to return to serve out his Senate term, no way he’s still “alive”
Massie wouldn’t want to run for that seat until November. A Democrat could take the seat in the meantime.
Big worry is who the Democrats are going to replace Graham Platner with.
He turned out to be a horrible person and I feel so bad for the women he hurt. And like many of his voters I feel angry that I supported all the passes he was given on really disturbing questions.
But his politics were right, and his voters aren’t going to vote for a corporate Democrat Hakeem Jeffries approved candidate. When you see them interviewed they want another Socialist to stand for the seat

“The unemployment rate under President Trump has fallen to a historic low of 4.3 percent. Under Joe Biden, it was 3.4 percent, and that was a dismal economy.”
Snopes fact checkers can find no evidence that she said this.
Well, while disappointing that the original post I made was probably incorrect, it’s interesting to see (from my antipodean-to-most-folks-here perspective) that there is is an element of massage and selective truth to the post. It did come from a Facebook post, and while I did a cursory check, seemed valid at the time.
We’re seeing the same selective choice of stats here in NZ. Blah blah better than the blah blah… Yes - true. If you take best and worst case scenarios out of context.
My apologies.
My default position is that everything on Facebook is bollocks! ![]()
Searching for facts on Facebook is like searching for thin people on AA. They do exist but are rare, bit like Attenborough’s long-beaked echidna.
The trick is to redefine ‘facts’, which is a practice the Trump clown-troupe have taken to their hearts.
Or the other favourite:
“…do your own research…”
Fact hunts?
