I think it was the blackbird but it may have been a later stealth jet but the story was as that they put the model in the radar test and everything lit up - not the hoped for result. So they scratched their heads and in the end they had to redesign the stand for the models it was too reflective for them to see the actual plane model.
There’s a cracking book about the Lockheed skunk works you can get. Plus a pdf does the rounds called Sled Driver by blackbird pilots - I have that if anyone wants it.
