Cold war jets open day …I took my son there … absolutely brilliant day …I’ve never been so close to a lightning on full take off power with reheat coming on …what an experience. Also Victor plus others. Sadly no longer have these “taxi” days.

A quick Google search later, and the open days were called ‘Big Thunder’.

They have no chance of that. The ministry of planes would never grant a license for even one flight. I believe the engines are being removed as part of the move of the airframe to Manston.

Experimental DC4-E. Only one was built.
