Alright angry of St Albans!
I doubt VW will ever get around to doing OEM campers, or have any intention of doing so. It’s not their core business and I suspect just like all the other vans from the T1 onwards they will leave it to aftermarket specialists instead.
expect they would cost £100k+ so not sure how many they would even sell.
Depends. Can you think of anyone with excess spare cash and a taste for hideous 70s throwback design?
California is oem no?
You’re telling me as I don’t keep up with the later VW vans as they lack the erm, charm of the T1/ T2.
Looking at them I wonder whether they do those in house or send them out for fitting and sell them through the VW network?
“ The Volkswagen California is a campervanbased on the mid-sized Transporter panel van, developed by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles(VWCV) and sold since 2003. It is the first campervan designed and built in-house by VWCV Special Business Unit, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.”
All hail the king of FWD snap oversteer
My Capri did that twice. 2nd time it sort of fell over and died. Don’t really miss it tbh.
Lady P would approve
I absolutely loved mine
Got a brand new bright red 1.6L as a company car when I was 20
I was king of the road!
Same model as I had, loved mine too.
I had a MK1 which I loved and a MK2 later. Preferred the MK1.
I had a friend with a 2.8i that I sometimes drove but the one I’d always have liked was the 3000E.There was a car tuner in Birmingham with a heavily tricked one that was ridiculously fast (for the time!)
confirmed delivery of the ev6 is tomorrow 8am, cant wait
