I doubt VW will ever get around to doing OEM campers, or have any intention of doing so. It’s not their core business and I suspect just like all the other vans from the T1 onwards they will leave it to aftermarket specialists instead.

You’re telling me as I don’t keep up with the later VW vans as they lack the erm, charm of the T1/ T2.
Looking at them I wonder whether they do those in house or send them out for fitting and sell them through the VW network?

I had a friend with a 2.8i that I sometimes drove but the one I’d always have liked was the 3000E.There was a car tuner in Birmingham with a heavily tricked one that was ridiculously fast (for the time!)
