The Mince Pie Thread

Honey’s bakery Horrabridge (In no way hipster, this place is authentic because it’s frozen in time)

Was extremely good, the mincemeat was spot on and not that sickly sweet rubbish, also had texture instead of mush.

I’m sure I’ve been there and bought pastries of some description

Yes,just a few minutes drive.

The holy grail of mince pies?

The Independent rates https://konditorandcook.com/shop-products/shop-by-products/mince-pies.html as top. “As good as it gets”. Strong words.

Test protocol not given (the Which? test was blind by four experts). And at £10 for 6, they’d better be good. You are paying for central London shop locations only.

Tempting, but you’ll be awfully disappointed if they’re not great for that price.

Alice just made these…

They look like the one @Wayward had the other day.

Also, it’s £15 for 12, a bit more like it.

I like ones with gooey, chewy bits. Send them here.

They do look suspiciously like the ones the other day. My colleague at work - Strayan, damn his eyes- bought them to make me feel better about the cricket. I shall dig a little to find out if they are the same. He seemed to think they were baked in house.

Mmmm! Crunchy festive buttplugs :+1:

They are very tasty (she does great pastry) and like Mark said, the oozed out bits are like toffee…:yum:

…but, because they’re not dished, there’s too much pastry and not enough filling.

The Brickhouse Bakery London. Best mince pies in Town.
