When I was in our office kitchen area yesterday, I mentioned to a Strayan colleague that most proper mince pie fillings contain beef suet. He was eating one at the time and asked me what it was, I said shredded beef fat - he spat it out

We have a Gail’s bakery nearby in Wanstead, as folk mentioned upthread that they were great, I bought three - would have bought more but they were £1.50 apiece.

Very small and not well filled with a big air gap between filling and top. Tasted ok, but I wouldn’t rave.

You should have just repeated the original, LOUDER and more slowly
