Nasa laser satellites have measured the islands are sinking by approx. 5mm a year.
The authorities there deny it, sighting the lack of visible damage / cracks on the buildings.
From what I’ve read the islands design allows for a 500mm rise in sea level.
Be warned this is a long read, but quite an amazing interesting guy.
