The Wonderful World of Turntable Design AKA: Dave's Fugly World Of TT Wank

At a glance there seem to be some obvious technical reasons why not.

Or is it actually an innovative approach to building a microphone…?

Sound Burger is back.

That arm lift mechanism, mental but required for that design of TT.

The page isn’t working!

This is interesting.

I’m unsure at this point whether you could fit all currently released project models on a piece of paper long enough to wrap earth

Thought Russ had retired now, is he still making the cases for your amps Simon @sjs ?

I collected a new batch recently and he was telling me he has largely moved out out the turntable plinth stuff, and onto working for a couple of larger clients and a lot of renovating his house.

you can catch up with his activities here:

Thankfully he could still make me a bunch of plinths, including one which should turn into a preamp

I follow him as part of his channel New Yorkshire Workshop’, I think he is concentrating on some personal projects (workshop and home improvements).
I’d recommend the channel, its excellent!

There is a YT video of him building some of those cases. Not sure if he is still building them.
I’ve watched a load of the New Yorkshire Workshop YT vids, and he is doing a lot of upgrades in his workshop and spending a lot of time on his house refurbishment by the look of it.
