23 and just about to take his test
Remember playing that seems like about 10 years ago? - seems a long wait for the sequel…
WoW ! Do you live in Toxteth and leave it parked unlocked on the ground floor of an unlit multi-story ?
No, just with Phil as a named driver.
Ah, that explains it then !
Oh dear, it will go up when he passed his test.
if we lived in a neighbouring postcode it would be a lot less , which is a bit annoying .
Wot, like living in Damascus instead of Beirut?
ha…it may seem like beirut sometimes but i am sure there are worst places to live !!
Put yourself on as a named driver. My daughter’s first premium with Admiral was c £1000.
Before he passes test he should be named driver on your policy.
thanks , yes it was 5330 a year but bout it down to 4700 with me as a named driver . they said only aviva did policy in this area . we tried those cars with free insurance and seat said you needed a years experience and citroen said they would not cover this postcode
This morning I went to the vets and increased my credit card debt by £400 because Ruby has an awesome combination of ear infections that require targeted antibiotics. Because she’s congenitally prone to ear infections, the pet insurance deem them pre-existing conditions so don’t cough up…
Then I went to pick my mum up from hospital after her latest knee replacement. Considering she’s 86, riddled with arthritis and only had the op, under local anaesthesia, on Wednesday, she was remarkably chipper and astoundingly mobile.
Also remarkable was finding out that one of her nurses was one of my first girlfriends and they’d been gossiping…
She did still look fit though ( Lesley, not my mum)…
Mmm, nurses. A small compensation for my 87 year old mum’s increasingly frequent hospital visits…
Jeez, where do you live ? Harlem ?
Just no.
Wow, I’ve parked outside your place a couple of times and many of the other cars on the street seemed a good deal posher than mine (admittedly that might have been when I had the previous Mondeo).

A slow, chilly ride around the woods, with two coffee stops.

yes its not a bad area but friends who have a son are getting insurance for him [ new driver and same age] for 1000 pounds , its just a different postcode
then another mature lady of about 57 who is learning to drive who lives in same area and postcode has been quoted about 3700 pounds . no wonder folks put down their parents house or some other address or don`t even bother with insurance .
we seem to be the highest !!
Table two: Top locations in absolute terms for uninsured vehicles
Area | Estimated number of uninsured vehicles |
---|---|
Birmingham | 55,142 |
Manchester | 37,167 |
East London | 34,436 |
Belfast | 30,504 |
Liverpool | 27,364 |
My daughter (17) just got hers,£1,400 with black box which i thought was outrageous.
Seeing those prices makes it look cheap.
