Emptied the loft this morning, followed by a trip to the charity furniture place, then the dump and finally to Hombase to buy a hundred quids worth of plastic storage boxes, decent ones with the locking handles.
Loft space is now navigable (so to speak) from one end to the other and contains 50% less crap.

We had a feckin’ huge lob out before the renovations started. However, I neglected to account for the hoarding abilities of my Antipodean. We are through the ‘I might need that one day’ phase via the ‘I can’t be arsed’ epoch to sunny uplands of ‘I’ll throw it out but you’ll need to get me a new one’.
Today we made two trips to the tip and multiple trips to charity shops . Only 492 similar days until we can declare the house tidy (I’m not even thinking about the kitchen cupboards yet).
