Remembering why I joined Facebook.
Just reconnected with a mate that we had lost contact with some 15 years ago.

This was taken back in 1994. We are the 2 on the right.

Is that a gas bottle I can see?

Unlikely. They hadn’t invented gas when I had hair.

In Edinburgh wondering how I’m going to get to Northern Ireland via London for a funeral that’s going to happen by Wednesday at the latest.

Fucking excellent bruv, the hair, the elasticated shades and the tongs…:rofl::rofl:

How about Transpennine Express from Waverley to Manchester Airport and then flight from there. About 4 hours on the train although not sure of the cost.

Of course only works if you can avoid the need to travel to London first.

Basking in the glow of credit gained from successfully replacing the leaking kitchen tap with a big spring - spray jobbie (which does not leak). Only took me 6 months but the brownie points are still huge :innocent:

Packing and sorting stuff out for tomorrow. Off to The Golden Jubilee, Glasgow for Lou’s consultation on Tuesday.

Fortunately there are direct flights to and from Glasgow, so no overnight ferries to lengthen the trip.
