Grandfathers in my Mrs’ family are always called “Popa” 
My neighbour is called Opa by the grand kids.
That’s what I called my maternal grandfather. My maternal grandmother was Oma.
I want to be called Gruffalo…but not for a while.

M…renovated. The tranquility, ambiance and all-round shabbiness of my listening room has been disturbed by the removal of my curtains. Instead, I am faced with this abomination
Leaving aside the now inevitable painting and new carpet that will be required, I was expecting to have to deploy layers of Schuman and Shakti to get it sounding ok. Surprisingly, it sounds ok so the finite element amp stands are in the loft.
Ziggy the Dog clearly disapproves.

Maybe he just runs the c/h pump in the summer and uses the rad as an air-to-water heat sink to share the therms around the rest of the house ?
