Twat !

I did for the first time it a few weeks ago. Easily done if you drive both a diesel & petrol car & aren’t concentrating. Fortunately I noticed before starting the car, so was able to push it to a parking space & call my usual garage who are nearby.

What was interesting was how much the RAC wanted to resolve it or the various other misfuelling services whose cards were proffered by the petrol station. Up to £300, some of them.

My garage towed it, emptied it of 60L of petrol & put 20L diesel in all for £90. They were also glad to give me the petrol as they’d have had to pay to dispose of it. There was next to no diesel in it & our Polo ran fine on it so at least that wasn’t wasted.

Yes.

Glued up one side of my work bench top this afternoon, I came uncomfortably close to a monumental fuck up by not covering the cauls in brown tape, I noticed as I was about to pour the glue, phew!

What’s that, close to 6 foot ish?

Both ends will be trimmed for a clean edge, at that point it will be 1750mm long which is approx. 5’8

You really need to keep your cauls covered. I think.

There’s brown tape on the contact faces. (which is what I nearly forgot as noted in my post)

:+1: Thanks for clearing that up.

You’re welcome.

Ah… I rather thought they had designed filler caps to avoid that but obviously not

They have, for the opposite mistake.

Is that your Kitchen Island work surface thing underneath the bench?

Yep. (Under a big sheet of card.)
Just glued up the other half. The first one has come out better than expected, looks to be very straight indeed.
