I wouldnāt mind so much, but weād only been away a day! 
That is a pain in the arse. At least nothing that canāt be repaired got broken. In many ways the worst thing is the interruption of your holiday in such stressful circumstances.

Might be worth checking if the insurance covers ending the break early, travel home, short term repairs etc. Any extra you get from that could go towards another short break!
