Today I have mainly been V5.0 (Part 3)

Now that they know the alarm is gone they are going to come for you in the night!

They’ve been waiting a long time….

Our smartmeter was 16 years old so had to be replaced today. Power off at the mains for half an hour but thankfully everything connected to the router (Roon, Hive etc) came back on. I’ve spent the last 30 minutes setting clocks all over the house. There are just hundreds of the fuckers… :rage:

Nearly carking it, that was a close call. On my own in the kitchen, peice of bread lodges itself on that precipice between lungs and stomach. Every breath i took went to my guts, couldn’t shout Miriam. After a minute i felt myself gong feint so two fingers rammed down my throat and a bit of insta vom saw me on the floor able to suuck in some air.

Less of that shit please.

As for the dog, fucking useless but had the decency to sort out the insta vom… vile creature.

Forgot to say that this involved pulling out a storage unit that hasn’t moved in 20 years, hence finding the spiders playground.

However it revealed yet another mystery mains spur - I suspect defunct (I know the guts of the house pretty well by now, there’s nowhere for it to go).

The sparks is going to be laughing all the way to the bank.

Shoulda bought that lucky white heather mate… :flushed:

Have been pretty much confined to the conservatory all week as the builders are desperately going round all the rooms trying to get the insulation job done in time for the electrician to come on Friday to refit all the sockets and install six storage heaters.
Have had no curtains or blinds on the windows all week and no TV since Monday.

House is an utter mess - the builders have to prepare everything outside on the pavement (with the weather being filthy) and then bring it in.

Most of the walls are now plastered and with the weather being warm and damp the humidity in here is insane.
My fancy German humidity monitor is at 89.2% - and that’s after having three dehumidifier’s running for the last hour.

Volunteer tree maintenance with the council in heavy rain… that was “fun”.

Heading to MAX for the first time. Most likely to acquire a pair of Snell Es. This is entirely the fault of whoever brought the Js to Lopwell. Will probably listen to some other stuff too though.

guilty m’lud  they were a particularly nice pair of J’s

I’m not a huge fan of the E’s though, was never able to get the bass right with them.

Interesting - what was the issue?

The one issue I’ve got with the Dalis I have on loan is that they seem to excite a room node with some of their bass output.

Don’t dry the plaster out to quickly

Same, the room was pretty much 11ft x 11ft so a horrible square. If I pulled them into the room and away from the corners they were nice but anywhere near the corners the bass was boomy and slow.

Don’t have many pics as they didn’t stay long

Snell Es were free space speakers. The AN Es are different and designed to go in corners.

Yeah but I found the opposite, the AN/e was horrible in the corner.

Obligatory.

Best in that room were the AN/J Spe Hemp. They were fantastic speakers.

You must have terrible corners

Anyone have any experience of/thoughts on the Sony TTS 4000?

Looking at that system you are sure it was all down to the speakers?
