Worth a tidy sum, if it works.

Saving up for the batteries :grimacing:

An interesting day so far;

Eye test (both) early…all good,
Trawl through the racks at HMV…now £120 lighter,
Chat with Barclays about transferring a significant savings pot to Straya (deal done with no need for the intervention and risk of a third party),
N’s Chanel J12 battery replaced.
Lunch at a local-ish pub…(we’re quite well known for our involvement in local issues, eating out, and shit like that) and letting a few more people know our plans,
Back to our local to let them know (free drinks).
Now chillin’…

Mildly hungover.

Discovered that there is no shaving cream in my wash kit. Oh well, as the wife put it “it’s not like you’re trying to impress anybody”.

Decent breakfast (there were more options, I had to make a selection last night)

Wandered around. I was wondering how old the absolute warren of a pub was. I clearly missed the “16th century” sign yesterday.

Pondering the wisdom of deciding last night that I would walk back down (up, down) to Lopwell. Oh well, what’s the worst that could happen?

You’ll be ready for second breakfast when you get back down here

You’re really going to have to learn how to grow old disgracefully, all this keep fit shenanigans won’t help you live longer. It will just seem longer, well done, I couldn’t catch me nose if it was running.

Just driven Mrs X’s car for the first time. Ford Kuga, a big fucking lumbering hippo. Best thing about it is getting in and out it. Lovely hip height for the oldies.

Naturally this perturbed the one remaining cable, we lost all HD channels and had other problems.

It turned out that it was split right down the side and was full of water. It’s got to be 30 years old if not 40 so it doesn’t owe us anything.

Now back up to 100%/100% signal strength (we’re directly below Crystal Palace) instead of hovering between 30 and 0.

Apparently the wife’s Gen Z colleagues think TV aerials are “quaint”. Frankly Gen Z can suck my balls.

… aaaaaand here we go again. Broadband fell over somewhere after 09:00. They’re suggesting it should be back by 19:06. In the meantime the phone’s standing in.

This is not like them. They might be bastards when it comes to pricing but usually the service is reliable and fast.
