Today I have mainly been V5.0

Offloading spare / unused drinks mixing / making kit to niece #1.

She’s graduated from waitressing to mixology and is loving it.

In a spirit of complete altruism I think she should be encouraged in her desire to be able to mix drinks well :cocktail:

Although the place where she works seems to specialise in showy yoof stuff that’s on fire etc.

Early start @ Lydden Hill Kent today

Still the same dust bowl of a paddock area no change there then.

They have however installed some rather nice retro pumps since my last visit here back in the day.

I’ve been at the pub since 2pm. I’m now at home impressing the wife with my wit.

Yeah, I try that shit !!

You and me, we’re the same. I’ve got a pretty good buzz going on, so I’ve sent her to The Raj to get poppodums and lamb jalfrezi.

You have managed the division of labour very well :+1:

Same here.

Walked the dogs to buy some light bulbs from the hardware shop. They didn’t have any so I stopped off at the pub for a few pints.

Got home and heard there was a cricket match at the cricket club 4 doors down.

So…….

Well… she was at work. I had a plan.

Unfortunately a few mishaps.

I got the wrong stuff out of the freezer and left the lid open. No worries. It’ll survive.

Good match at the cricket club so a bit of a delay

Still speaking :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Welcoming the first cub of the year

In one corner of our garden I put down some pallets, put a layer of thin ply over & then covered it in lino. It acts as the base for a hot tub. We were going to put the tub out today but spotted a large and very healthy looking hedgehog emerging from under the pallets. First time we’ve seen one here apart from the occasional dead one in the road. We put out some dog biscuits in a small bowl and some water. The plan is to encourage it to live in a small wooden house in the hedge (under construction) rather than under the pallets. A real treat to see though, I’ll try to get a pic.

I get them nearly every year. Please don’t disturb them if at all possible. If they get stressed they can end up cannibalising their own young. Personally I’ve found kitten food to be the best for them.

Kitten food is smaller chunks so it’s easier for them to eat, especially the baby ones, but we are both on the same page
