Today I have mainly been V5.0

Stacking straw bales. They are as far as the fucking eye can see.

Need to put them in groups of 25 for the trailers.

Strangely satisfying.

Same again tomorrow. No air conditioning in that fucker tho.

8am start for a 9 mile walk on the south side of Ladybower reservoir, up the steep path in Parkin Clough to Win Hill, with nice views

then down to Hope Cross with views up the Edale valley

Down through the plantation

to the water, somewhat low at present

Then back along the bottom track to Ladybower dam and the ice lolly van.

Lovely !

Fab, how’s the res looking?

Low, but not as low as I’d expected. I guess that Howden and Derwent further upstream will be pretty low.

My total output during the last 12 hours is the design and manufacture of a washing line prop. Made from a curtain pole that was in a neighbour’s skip.

Slot for line,

Pointy end, to sick into the slabs including glue to make the pine more robust.

How about that then, fully hand made.

Not only legendary craftsmanship but ecologically sound too :ok_hand:

Staying in a friends Tipi with FOLs.

Hey presto mad max feral kids

Home, over looking baboon bay (The small island looks like a half submerged baboons head)

Ici

Man cooking - Only two blisters to show, a small but significant improvement.

Sky performance was a treat.

Kids head torches have a ‘strobe’ mode. FOL1 worked out this would guarantee I stacked it on the dusty paths. I note this as abuse.

Golden baboon.

This place is magic.

In Bellever Forest.

One part of the car park has only a little track to it with limited passing points. These people decided to put the Bell in Bellever by parking in them so that up to five cars trying to get in had to reverse about 100m back out of that bit when the proper spaces were full.

Oh, and we drove up Pork Hill to get there which has to be a euphemism.

Things like that make me want my Land Cruiser to drive past and give a few side - glances. The LC doesn’t give a fuck what it hits💪

Bizarrely we’ve never had problems parking there, lovely place :+1:

We were quite close by at Prince Hall on Friday pm and Saturday night. Some friends had hired it for a family wedding for the weekend. Notable in that it was where Arthur Conan Doyle based himself to write Hound of the Baskervilles

Nice place.

Very hot day and broken parking machines so you didn’t need to pay may have had something to do with it.

Dropped the car off for its mot,now on a bus. Why do they cut out when stationary for just a couple of secs?
Surely it saves nothing

Reduces pollution?

Yes I can see the aim,but a few times it’s stopped for less than 2 secs then restarted, surely the saving of 2 secs fumes against the energy to restart a Diesel engine is lost

Just read that back, and have totally bored myself

Maybe the ECU isn’t clever enough to know if the bus is stopping for 2 secs or for a while at a bus stop or traffic lights etc?
