Today I have mainly been

Mending the washing machine .

Power light came on but nothing else happened. Turns out this wasn’t working https://www.ransomspares.co.uk/shop/cart/othersbought?productId=79762 or, if you’re in a Miele frame of mind, here’s a brand-name one https://www.espares.co.uk/product/es548159/washing-machine-4-tag-door-interlock?pageNumber=1&PartTypeId=1556&SearchTerm=FJ1214.

Or if you own a cross-head screwdriver and are of an intrepid disposition you can take it to bits and mend it (springs, levers, bimetallic bits, slidey gubbins etc etc). Which I did. TBH it may not last long (pitted contacts in the bimetallic assembly). Mrs VB also thinks the drum is making “a bit more of a scrapy noise”. But we’ve had 25 years or so out of it (the production date on the bust bit was Nov '92 which is consistent with when we last bought any white goods). At least we don’t have to decide on a replacement in a panic though.

Gardening, and more listening to the latest review item. And now sitting and wondering why everything aches…

Either a) physical effort from the former or b) Focal for the latter.

Knocking the garden into shape ready for the first barbeque of the year.

Is that an inward facing garage?

Need pictures of a HoP breakfast.

Haha, yes a garage that has no access for a car! The previous incumbent had a collection of Motorbikes apparently. It very useful to store all my crap in though.

Homebase?

Makes our motley collection of ornaments, furniture & planters look positively feeble!

Admit it, you installed the parliament hinges the wrong way round
