Tory psychodrama runners and riders

Such a pity Gove the Line didn’t enter. He’d absolutely piss it

He wouldn’t pass the piss test tho’

The job is a poisoned chalice
It is unlikely that whoever wins this leadership election will still be leader by the time of the next election, so just has a few years as leader in opposition with no power.

Will the new IDS or William Hague please stand up.

Jenick who will be booted out after a couple of years, probably for Badenoch

Either way,I hope they eat each other.

If only it existed in the HoC

Glad he’s out. Of all the contenders he was perhaps the most sane & capable. Of course the party membership could never have voted for him even if he had got to the final two.

No longer desirable qualities in a Tory leader evidently.

I don’t think anyone really gives a fck. Thankfully they have became so toxic no one cares who leads them. They are impotent. Won’t go on forever but lets enjoy it while it lasts.

Unfortunately, Labour are the biggest driving force that ensure it won’t go on forever :frowning:

Starmer seems to be doing his best to fck it up but he is still in massive majority territory. When that gets shaved down he’ll defo start proposing the policies people actually voted labour in for as he knows he wont have a hells chance of getting them through. eg nationalising things that that private companies have no business to be involved in… Water rail power etc

I read all the threads, don’t give a fck about most of them. Never stops me posting my ill informed opinions though.

Know your enemy!
Well, know the ones who will be picking your enemy :grinning:

According to the Torygraph over 70% of voters don’t care who wins the Tory leadership race.
Even with all the cock ups that Labour have made in the first three months, support for the Tories hasn’t shifted from the low 20%

Whoever wins this contest is irrelevant.
In a few years the new generation of Tory MPs will be flexing their muscles and won’t want to be led by the failures of the last 14 years. Whoever wins will not be leading the party into the election.

150K people will elect the next leader who will spend all of their time ignoring the general public and just trying to get back membership from Farage

Prediction
Cleverly and Badenoch to be the final two

Membership will be turkeys voting for Christmas and put the final nail in the coffin of the Conservative Party and pick Badenoch

That bunch which includes Braverman and co, shows a funny way of inclusion in the UK, that you don’t need to be white to be racist and anti-immigrant.

Overriding all of that is a ruthless streak to be winners and be in power.
That means a racist, misogynistic group are more likely to elect a black female leader than Labour
