She can totally do that look.

Needless to say, we currently live in fear….

I enjoyed Smurfahontas2. Not for the story or acting but the sheer spectacle which was beyond anything I’ve ever seen in a cinema. I do like that Cameron does get his digs into US military activity, environmental vandalism etc.
The 3D works well too far better than in the first film. FoL#1 did think that the tech to make this one has probably been around for 4-5 years (based on where gaming is at, I wouldn’t know). I was more impressed by the incredible amount of custom hardware that would have to have been made for it. The costs must’ve been staggering.

I read somewhere that it has to be the 4th biggest grossing movie of all time just to break even.

Pre nap bullshit. 7/10

The 3rd series of Jack Ryan, if you liked the first two, you’ll like this.

A special nod to James Cosmo, stealing the show with a great character performance.

Up to date as ever here, The African Queen on BBC 2.

That used for be my kids (my) favourite.

Finished the recruit. It ambled along reasonably well. Good ending. Up half a point 7.5

Unless you have absolutely nothing else to do on a rainy afternoon, I wouldn’t bother.

You what? It was great!

Stick stick stick stick sticky sticky stick stick.

I’ve been at it again - wanted something brain-off while I ate my supper - so pulled ‘R.I.P.D.’ off Netflix, having never heard of it…

I mean, how bad can something be that’s got Ryan Reynolds, Geoff Bridges, Mary-Louise Parker and Kevin Bacon in it?

Oh, yeah, Kevin Bacon… I should have paid more attention.

I endured 1.5 hours of clunk as this attempted to pay tribute to MiB and Ghostbusters by pissing on their graves - 1.5 hours waiting for it to start. It just never did.

Yeesh.

If you need to make time die, if you hate yourself and believe you were put on the Earth to suffer: watch R.I.P.D - it’ll make you grateful that death exists and that there’s no coming-back.

Going to watch Heat for the Christmas movie tonight. Nearly three hours of perfection.
