How much did you pay for the DeLorean?
Treason.
Some nice details ring true, but otherwise total baloney.
Gives a little hint at what threat hostile state actors may pose.
Average acting and passable entertainment.
Might make the end.
They have two years to get me in a honey trap
Bought Top Gun and Maverick on 4K yesterday. 4 happy hours of 80s music and aeroplanes
Fixt
Banshees of Inisherin - possibly the best thing I’ve watched all year.
Great innit!

The Dig. Much enjoy. Beautiful and suitable for family viewing.
The First Great Train Robbery.

Two decent looking jazz documentaries on Sky Arts in the wee small hours. I’m recording them.
Excellent performance by Connery in this.
Ted Lasso.
Just watched “Don’t Look Up” [2021] on That Netflix - a very on-point zeitgeist-riddled apocalyptic black comedy, with a really decent cast, who all deliver.
Meryl Streep as Trump-with-tits is an especially pleasing “fuck-you” to the man who described her as “…one of the most overrated actresses in Hollywood, doesn’t know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes.”.
The plot revolves around the discovery of a 9 km (i.e. big enough to annihilate all of life) comet that is heading for Earth, and follows both it and the trajectories of its discoverers, its deniers, its political fallout, attempts to divert it (or not), and how the whole insane mess is handled in a post-facts World…
Critics, especially right-leaning, have scorned it, but interestingly Actual Fucking Scientists have praised it very highly. In a very minor way, I was a scientist once, and I loved it too. Lots of low-key laughs and tidy sight gags which somehow don’t trivialise it, and lots and LOTS of believability. Far too much for comfort.
We all thoroughly enjoyed Glass Onion this evening, despite Daniel Craig’s comedy accent.
Great watch that one
We watched the first one the other night. I quite enjoyed the strange Southern drawl he’s putting on. I guess it’s only similar to the sorts of accents deployed by various actors playing Poirot over the years. Looking forward to Glass Onion.
Watched Treason on Netf, fuck me, that was dire. It managed to combine bad acting, a bad script, a fucking awful plot with piss poor directing and fucking awful music.
Ummm, not recomended.
