Really unlikeable lead characters, its the story and supporting characters who make this worth a watch.
Excellent
Yes, we’ve watched the first two episodes & are hooked.
Large liberties taken with the books, but very watchable.
Got to ep4 and I’m liking it. A lot.
Been out out this eve - ate our own bodyweight in lush sushi in a place called Katana in Spalding to get Sam’s ‘Birthday Weekend’ rolling, then a swift pint in the excellent Prior’s Oven, then on to our local civic centre for “Civil War”. Got to say I thoroughly enjoyed it, for all that it lacks a whole lot in the way of a plot, it’s still damn well done, and not the formulaic wankfest I feared it may have been.
Loving this. Only one episode deep but it gives a good baxk story of Rebus , marines and shit.
Really enjoying the old skool Rebus with modern day Edinburgh.
I miss it.
I’m watching episode 4 right now. pretty good
We finished it last night & did enjoy the series.
Killers of the Flower Moon.
A beautiful film, full of horror.
Furiosa : A Mad Max saga
This is a prequel to the 2015 film Fury Road and basically provides an origin story for the female protagonist from that earlier film.
I could probably have done with watching that one again to remind myself of the set up but it isn’t essential.
At 2h30 it’s probably 30 minutes longer than it could have been; there are some quite prolonged road chase sequences, but there’s also some humour & quirky characters to enjoy. Max himself only briefly appears & isn’t really a key player in this story.
Another diverting, brain detached, piece of nonsense although I think the 2015 film did hang together better from what I can recall of it.
I’ve not been able to go since 2019 so this is the 3rd year I’ve been watching this:
TT+
For the last week it’s been the qualifying sessions but racing starts tomorrow.
X.
The speeds they were hitting on the Senior practice were nerve shredding. That right hand bend with the 3ft high stone wall on the outside, skinning that at Christ knows what speed.
This is a different level.
You have motorcycle racers and then you have TT riders.
I have always been in awe of these guys.

My dad rode the Junior TT in 1939. Bronze replica. Sample quote “The throttle works both ways.”
Atlas (Netflix).
Oh dear. Oh deary me. No.
Just no.
I can remember when they wired up Guy Martin, his heart rate went to resting and below, his adrenelin levels reduced. The joe average biker they then put on a a pillion, let’s just say his bpm was at German tecno levels.
Looking forward to the races this week. My neighbours over there for the duration, must get there next year myself.
Bloody awful, i managed ten minutes.
