What I'm watching (Series 2)

Graeme, you have a plastic cow in your front garden and you’re the one worried about the neighbours

Ox Bob.

He’s an ox.

Some of the neighbours have started an ā€˜it needs a short name’ campaign. I’ve had suggestions pushed through my door, with money attached (donations for the hospice). Several have been female names. I laughed at Sandra (Bullock - geddit ?). Then I started to worry about some sort of gender war starting. As I understand it oxen start out male but pretty quickly undergo a crude ā€˜medical transition’ courtesy of someone with basic veterinary skills and a very sharp knife. So where does he/she stand now ? Wherever it is, they aren’t a cow though.

Death of Stalin - still one of the funniest satires I’ve seen in film format.

Where / how do you watch that please?

I only have an SD copy and I’m mildly obsessed with it.

Doom Watch

is on Talking Pictures from 9pm tonight.

I’ve only got it as an MKV bluray rip.

Are you going to Jim’s tomorrow?

Sorry, no, stuffing my face in a restaurant that’s tricky to get into, but not in January.

But thank you for the Blu-ray mention. I just preordered this

I’m going to have to buy a 4k player, I keep buying these special editions to get a decent Blu-ray.

Severance - superbly acted and wonderfully weird

The Blitz. Disappointed. All a bit hammed up and messy. I did enjoy it, though.

I had a brainwave this morning and it turns out that the PS5 plays 4k discs.

Less boxes, less expense, all win.

Just about to start it.

We enjoyed it

The Instigators (Apple)

Don’t bother. Devoid of tension and dull.
