It’s shit, season 1 was ok but season 2 was awful and season 3 is [S3 spoiler] just full of bizarre plot twists and is essentially copied from the Lethal Weapon films.

I would say I’m watching Reacher but it’s more fucking adverts than episode time .

We get a couple at the beginning and then it’s an uninterrupted episode.
Watched Holland (prime). Complete mess. Just didn’t engage.

I get 2 mins at the start and then a single 20-30sec advert every 10 mins or so.
The non-ad parts are fucking brilliant though

Get adverts during films, but not interrupted in a tv series after the opening distraction.
Enjoyed Reacher. It’s my favourite light entertainment. It’s amazing how small he looks next to the 7 foot plus bloke.

Live transmission of *Turandot * from ROH at Pontio in Bangor. Excellent singing and playing, ridiculous plot. The production was originally from 1984, so half the audience would be big suited and big shouldered Thatcherites at the first performance. Odd to think, almost historical.

For fans of French anarchist films, Themroc is on at the BFI on May 7th and 29th. The ideal antidote to blue screen nonsense about the inner lives of protofascist superheroes.
Gave this a go this evening – Guy Ritchie seems to be trying to sidestep the comic strip crime boozer banter of his previous outings for something a little more slow-burning. There are flashes of his standard schtick, 1 ep. in it feels like it partially works.
What detracts from it are Pierce Brosnan’s Irish accent (he is actually Irish, but it still sounds off) and Helen Mirren, who plays a good character but would be better off without the accent. Tom Hardy carries the show … I know I’ll be watching the next episode (out on Sunday) – my wife said so.
