Virgin cable includes a channel called Great Movies. They are provoking use of the trades description act by playing this.
2.7 is, if anything, generous.
Severance. Again, from the beginning, with the wife onboard.
Still fun, and some random dialogue moments now carry recognisable significance.
I watched S1 again before S2, glad I did and it’s interesting what you miss.
Resurrected bounty hunter Hub Halloran gets an unexpected second chance at life, love, and his nearly-forgotten musical career - only to find that his old job now has a demonic new twist
Dark, fairly humorous, plenty of schlocky gore & well cast & entertaining with very decent SFX. All eps of season 1 available ter stream on Amacuntz Prime video.
Gladiator.
4k disc with Dolby vision.
It’s booming. And it looks amazing.
White Lotus finale
Another season of entertaining nonsense with a few memorable wtf moments.
I can’t believe I forgot this was on tonight. I’ve been all over it every Monday. Blame it on the Severance rerun with the wife.
I’ll have to wait until tomorrow now.
Giving me ideas for Lopwell. None of them good ones.
The theme of this season being spirituality was pretty well explored. - I’m not sure I’ve seen much more fucked up than the Dad of the wealthy US family in the final Ep. It took a longish run up but the finale was quite something
It was disappointing that Patrick Schwarzenegger’s character didn’t go full hippie native in the end having started out as such a square macho twat. Would’ve liked to see the awful Ratcliff mother get some kind of comeuppance on screen rather than just knowing that the shit would hit the fan for all of that family when they got home.
I shall just skip to the final episode. I must admit, i found S1 dull and gave up on S2. It’s the bloody Love Boat on steroids at best.
A cup of tea not for me.
It’s all about the build up though.
The creep towards certain doom. Skipping to the end is sort of in keeping with the theme, as it questions what is a happy ending.
Not that type, either.
I watched them all when first shown on BBC and the later series. I liked it a lot. Not having any dragons helped but also because it’s about a fascinating period pre Norman invasion as Alfred & co are trying to get the various kingdoms and forces to merge.
Season 7
Fuck me this is so good.
Just had a look at the first episode of the new series. Very weird and realistically scary.
