Watched The Inner Circle on BBC One teatime .Amanda Holden is the host for this quiz game ..Who thinks these things up ,it’s a load of dross with Barbie doll Amanda trying too hard ( a quiz show host she ain’t ).The worst program I have ever watched..

I don’t think it’s as violent as Peaky Blinders Guy, but certainly keeps you on the edge of your seat ..next half gets more gripping and certainly warrants a second series..

Yeah I had the misfortune to catch a few minutes of that at my Dads place the other day. You are not exaggerating in any way. Fucking awful. Amanda Holden seems to have morphed into some kind of cheap plastic marionette version of herself, and exudes a total lack of interest in the unfortunate contestants. I forget that such dross even exists.

Last night I learned that

6/10 for the former. s’ok but a bit earnest and predictable. I suspect I’m not the target demographic.

A telling from many viewpoints of an 8 minute countdown to potential armageddon. No spoilers, so you will need to watch it, I recommend it.

Watched it over the weekend, really enjoyed it, gripping stuff.
Now need a sequel for closure.
Roofman
The true story of an oddball villain who, after a shortish military career and a stint working for McDonalds, took to robbing the restaurants by cutting through their roofs.
He was eventually caught, imprisoned, escaped & then hid & lived in a branch of ToysrUs for several months before attempting a robbery there.
It’s a mad tale, pretty accurately portrayed with good performances by Channing Tatum (who always makes seeming unhinged look easy) and Kirsten Dunst.
I did also watch A house of dynamite which had an interesting premise, seemed quite entertaining & plausible but ended up a somewhat cliched cop out.
Finished House of Guinness too which we enjoyed.

Mental home-pron. We watch this, salivating, and critique it sagely, as though any day now we will embark upon just such an architectural venture. Which of course is painfully unlikely.

A friend keeps sending me Instagram reels from influencers about “secret” this, that and the other in London.
No matter how many times I say “It’s not a secret. I was literally there last Sunday” he just doesn’t seem to get it.
