Watched it last night, quite a few laugh out loud moments, but it seemed over long to me. Sam our 15 year old really enjoyed it, pointing out who the characters were based on etc.
Watching it now.
Donāt look up. Bit meh. As many duds as laughs.
The Protege. Itās ok. Plot a little disjointed, feels like bits fell out, but itās a weekend action flick. Keaton oozes class.
Greyhound (Apple) - enjoyed it. after you watch it google the use of water in it.
Covid has killed NYE for me (didnāt watch them all todayā¦ Iāve been stuck in for 4 days).

Keeping in mind the satirical nature of the content, I though the least successful parts were the scenes with Meryl Streep and Jonah Hill, despite (or because of) four years of Trump.
That aside, I thought it was excellent overall with obvious nods to Black Mirror and The Circle. In fact I found the (social) media scenes (Daily RIP) and Mark Rylance as the CEO of Bash to be chilling parodies, simply because they were so believable.

His portrayal was excellent. Iāve met so many quiet narcissistic sociopaths just like him, they get away with it because so many people are willing to accept them/ not challenge, and so they worm they way into undeserved influence with very little resistance.

I liked the way he greeted every failure with a probability, ie, we expected to lose 45%.
Apart from the bits where youāre supposed to believe an attractive and younger woman would want to bed him. More DiCaprio than DiCaprio.
Thatās the five minute to conceive plot, not his acting.
Is it available for free anywhere? I can only find it paid for on Sky (which Iām happy to do if no other option but would rather see it for free if I can).

I was surprised to learn that Pirate Bay is still a thing.
You just need a good Bit Torrent client. Utorrent 2.2.1 is excellent, but AVOID later versions which often donāt work and are stuffed with ads.

rewatched the first two series of the West Wing on All 4. Had these on DVD back in the day and I really forgot how much I really enjoyed them.

Season 2 needs concentration - the story bounces between different timelines and can be tricky to follow. Season 3 is back to excellent. Looking forward to season 4 in 2022.
