Couple of cask strength single malts. Somewhat of a departure for me in my more recent history, as I tend to concentrate more on Rye & Bourbon Whiskeys from the USA or Japanese & Irish offerings.

The last of a 3 bottle Christmas order.
This is my absolute favourite bourbon available at under £200 a bottle.

I’ve had the 15yr old Dalwhinnie a few times to great enjoyment Roger, so that’s an interestin’ recco.

Three bottles of this arriving tomorrow.

On flash sale @ Masters of Malt.

Gets great reviews at full price of Ā£50. Quite unusual to find a ten year age statement Islay cask strength whiskey at this sorta pricing, most sub Ā£50, even t’ likes of Corryvreckan/Uigeadail are none age statement. I like bold smoky/peated whisky, so have high hopes for this.

Bit cheaper with free shipping if order over £100.

Hi Paul. That offer is only for their ordinary release 10yr aged Islay & that’s pretty much t’ regular pricing for it.

The offer I linked to is for the ten year age statement cask strength, which normally retails at around £50.

Indeedy. I was planning on not purchasing any more until at least this time next month!

I’ve never really been into whisky but have enjoyed Laphroaig, especially the last bottle I recently had. I’m going to try more and I’m thinking Talisker but maybe this could be next.

If you enjoy Laphroig, it would seem you have some leaning towards peated/smoky Islay whisky. This would seem to be a reasonably safe bet, given the tasting notes/fairly positive reviews & currently very favourable pricing.

I’ve been very pleasantly surprised by t’ Port Askaig none age statement cask strength Islay from an undisclosed distillery. I think I prefer it to Laphroig quarter cask.
