Who's going to Scalford?

I did drive back to get you,but you had gone.

Used over £40 of petrol as well.

Fixed out a complete lack of sincerity or concern. :innocent:

More betterer :+1:

Not me, I’ll be mostly enjoying …summat

My kids want to go again, I am less enthusiastic.

It was a Scary moment Mark! Brian’s speakers went beserk ,it was funny afterwards but not at the time…I ended up sending the cartridge away to be checked and had the Lp12 setup again by Peter Swain…I had a memory block that day:grinning::grinning:
I’m taking it to Scalford this year (Cottesmore room) sharing with MF1000 (Keith& Jane)…You welcome to come and hear it …Brian’s Bakeoff that day was a truely memorable event (they don’t make them like they used to anymore).

I’m doing a room for the first time
I’ll be in room 200
I’m relatively new to the HiFi community and not fully aware of what has happened within the different forums.
But
I’m hoping people will come along and enjoy the show.
I said I would do a room last year and so I’m keeping that promise.
If you are coming along pop in room 200 and say hello.

Would be good to have a thread with the rooms and people on. Or I will be digging through threads to find out.

There’s one of those on the Wam, with the spreadsheet.

What’s the wam?

(The main spreadsheet wouldn’t necessarily correlate with user names here if you didn’t know who people were?!)

It’s the Wam’s gig no one is going to run that sort of thread on here.
if you want info on the show you might find the website dedicated to the show quite helpful. :grinning:

Not going myself, getting my hifi fix at Munich this year,

Well given that very few regulars on here are willing to exhibit this year it won’t be a problem matching them with the spreadsheet

This^^^^ Very much this.

They were my JBL 4312’s, lucky that the JBL bass units are pretty bullet proof. The weedy Snell E’s would have bitten the dust for sure.

A lot of the comments are negative but surely the reason why some regulars are missing this year is because you have some reason for not wanting to be part of it anymore, so I thought instead of assumptions it would be good to clear the air and get it out in the open.

I registered yesterday and asked admin if it was okay for me to do this but have had no reply. My intention is not to promote the show but to answer any griefs. Big shame all the stuff has happened before me but I can’t help that. Changes have been done to try and make it better and TBH the show is about a gathering of great systems and people, not which forum is good, bad or ugly.

Peter (not catfood Pete BTW)

I still prefer Lesley Judd.

Maybe his mind was on other things - see this post in the Slaughterhouse thread

VB

That’ll be why then. Ouch!

Peter

We have done our best to make this site as different from yours as possible. For no other reason than yours doesn’t give us what we want anymore. Many things have happened which you may or may not be aware of BUT while it is rooted in a rebellion (of sorts) we remain an independent forum with a very different profile.

Your input is welcome (to a point) but I believe that any discussion about the shows merits, or otherwise, should be conducted on the WW. Not here.
