If it’s not racist it shows such either a lack of awareness of the people he wants to govern, or a staggering level of idiocy. Either thing should be sufficient to disqualify him as being suitable as a governor.

Cockpunch to me for taking such vicarious pleasure from the failure of Wonga. A nastier business model is hard to imagine. Hopefully, the owners of the firm will get the same treatment they gave their customers.

I was always really shocked when the Guardian, a few years ago, was really enthusiastic for Wonga. It was always fucking awful, and the fact that it may have made money was no redeeming feature - if anything quite the opposite.

I really was hoping they’d be going around, cap in hand looking for a loan & getting offered horrific rates with loads of shystery small print at the bottom, read out at 300 words per minute.

Yeah at 1296%apr representative, tossers.
and there are still some incredible rates on loans being advertised like payday loans at 1333 % apr and

Total amount payable: £3,423.67. Representative 99.9% APR.
Broke key off in boot lock of Alfa. £80 taxi ride and £50 at Timpsons and all good again. Sort of look at it as stupid tax. Especially after the future Mrs B said be carefully with that.
