David T.C. Davies can have one for non-Brexit related reasons. (I can only assume T.C. stands for Total Cunt btw). Have a look at this:

Yep, while Parliament is being prorogued and the Economy is going down the shitter, Dave T.C. Davies is writing to The 1975 to point out the error of their ways.

Tool of the Year award nomination standard bemtardery from the cluess twat.

clueless (who, me ? :slightly_smiling_face:).

I don’t have much time for Davies but he may have done at least some good by keeping the subject in the public eye (perhaps I should commend his self-scarifice in that he’s prepared to make himself look like an arse for the sake of the rest of us ?).

His supporters will say he has a point. When faced with a really intractable problem the hardest thing is not what The 1975 and Extinction Rebellion and young Greta are doing, which is not very different from screaming and throwing their stuff out of the pram. The hardest thing is convincing everyone (literally) to accept the unpalatable effects on their lifestyles (actual or aspirational) of sustaining the thick end of 10bn humans on this planet indefinitely. That’s going to be properly hard and perhaps The 1975 et al should be trying to bang that message into their fans’/followers’ heads.

But at least their agitation means people are noticing it. Mrs VB’s vote for the wisest line in all of popular music is from Talking Heads’ (Nothing But) Flowers where they say “… and as things fell apart nobody paid much attention …”. All those, belmtards or otherwise, who are mouthing off about this might just be keeping the effort to resolve it going.

Whoever it is that makes the seatbelt tensioners for Volvo can have one squarely to the glad-sacs:

Folded the back seats down the other day, drove a bit, as one does in a car. Now the 60 of the 60/40 split is stuck down 'cos the middle seat belt thinks the car’s been in a crash…

Now this would be trivial, but for the fact that tomorrow my beloved Rebel Blue V40 D4 is being traded-in against Sam’s new toy… And the dealership (Donalds Mazda, Stamford, Lincs - avoid them), are 110% certain to be cocks about it…

The only way to release it is to unbolt the fixed end from underneath, for which a car-lift is needed, so f-all I can do… GAH!

My old ford had a similar issue. The local garage shoved a pin into the reel and released it. This was 56 reg which didn’t have pretensioners to my knowledge. Unfortunately for you, I doubt you have time to have it looked at by a local mechanic.
I have bitter experience of Main Dealers and Part Exchanges over the last few years and I feel your pain.

I had a wire break in the seatbelt stalk on the 911 which meant the pre tensioners and airbags went into failsafe mode, where none of the airbags etc would work. Had to wait three weeks for appointment for repair, which meant half the interior had to be removed…luckily all under warranty
