So this led me to think that “the most chauvinistic people I know are …”
But then I realised that I didn’t know the plural. Antwerpenaars or Antwerpenaren?
Google gives multiple, conflicting answers.

Gazet van Antwerpen says “Antwerpenaars”, so there you have it.
Also, the locals refer to the paper as “De Frut”, dialect for pressed headcheese / brawn (“hoofdkaas”).

Sorry, I’m a bit of a sponge for Dutch / Flemish vocabulary at the moment, and plurals can be a minefield.
-en or -s, it seems to be something you just have to know.
Except where they hoof in an apostrophe or dieresis in a desperate attempt to make it less awkward. Baby’s, zeeën.
I know it’s a strange sounding language, Mrs JB is an Afrikans (second language) speaker, to me it sounds like a cat bringing up a hairball
